Welcome to our tri-weekly Intercessors' Prayer Guide for the State of Missouri. The strategy is to mobilize unified and focused prayer across the state that is aimed at just a few very specific targets. The targets are corporate in nature. They cover statewide, regional, city, national and inter-national issues that require the power of corporate agreement. We will focus on these targets for three-week periods. We believe there will be tremendous breakthrough as we siege these targets together for 21 day periods.

Intercessors’ Prayer Guide

July 26 – August 16 2010

Shalom Missouri Prayer Intercessors,

Greetings to you, who are the called, chosen and faithful followers of the Lamb:

“They will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will triumph over them; for He is Lord of lords and King of kings – and those with Him and on His side are chosen and called (elected) and loyal and faithful followers.” (Revelation 17:14, AMP)

“They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because He is Lord of lords and King of kings – and with Him are His called, chosen and faithful followers.” (Revelation 17:14, NIV)

Today The Holy Spirit is encouraging us to be strong in the LORD and His mighty power so that we can take our stand against the devil’s schemes and remain standing.

“For surely Your enemies, O LORD, surely Your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered. You have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox; fine oils have been poured upon me.” (Psalm 92:9-10)

The LORD is lifting us up in His strength (exalting our horn). He makes us like the ox in the spirit – strong and persistent. Right now He is anointing us with fresh oil for another three week session of spiritual SIEGE against the enemy’s schemes. Hallelujah!

SIEGE:

*The surrounding or blockading of a town or fortress by an army intent on capturing it

*A prolonged attempt to break the resistance of a person or group

*The investing and attacking of a fortified place

*A continued endeavor to gain possession

“Also Jesus told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up). He said that in a certain city there was a judge who neither reverenced and feared God nor respected or considered man. And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, Protect and defend and give me justice against my adversary. And for a time he would not; but later he said to himself, Though I have neither reverence or fear for God nor respect or consideration for man, yet because this widow continues to bother me, I will defend and protect and avenge her, lest she give me intolerable annoyance and wear me out by her continual coming or at the last she come and rail on me or assault me or strangle me. Then The Lord Jesus said, Listen to what the unjust judge says!& nbsp;And will not (our just) God defend and protect and avenge His elect (His chosen ones), who cry to Him day and night? Will He defer them and delay help on their behalf?

I tell you, He will defend and protect and avenge them speedily. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find (persistence in) faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:1-8, AMP, emphasis mine)

This passage teaches us that there are certain times and issues that require faithful diligence in intercession. We are in such a season in regard to our Gatekeeper State Focus on Israel and the Gulf Oil Spill of July 5 – July 26. As I sought The LORD to prepare this Intercessors’ Guide, it seemed as if The Holy Spirit was saying we must continue to lay siege in the same manner for the next three weeks.

In obedience to His counsel, we will include again the Gatekeeper State Focus on Israel and the Gulf Oil Spill from July 5 – 26. Please continue to SIEGE these urgent needs with the scriptures and prayers provided as a springboard.

Just now, as I am working on this Intercessors’ Guide, a message came in from the Reformation Prayer Network, which is one of the ministries that Missouri Prayer Global Mission is aligned with. It is an urgent call for prayer for our nation. This is confirmation that we must continue to stand in the gap for the USA. We encourage you to read and act upon the urgent call that is dated July 26, 2010 at www.generals.org.

We are also including again our State Water Focus from a previous edition. Our mandate to watch the waters continues throughout the summer months.

The Capitol Prayer section is exciting and needs fervent focus especially between now and August 3, which is Election Day. Our state’s elections include Proposition C, which is the first of this type of amendment in the nation. We believe The LORD has promised a BREAKER ANOINTING for this, according to Micah 2:13, if we, His people will believe and declare it!

Thank you and bless you for standing in the gap with Missouri. We appreciate every intercessor and we want to encourage all of us with the promise of The LORD spoken to Zerubbabel:

“Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says The LORD Almighty.” (Zechariah 4:6)

1. Gatekeeper State Focus on Israel and the Gulf Oil Spill

“The earth is the LORD’s and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for He founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.” (Psalm 24:1-2)

Hallelujah! We begin with the declaration of the TRUTH that the earth is the LORD’s and all who live in it. We give Him Glory as the One Who, in His wisdom, established the world upon the seas. We are confident and steadfast in our faithful God and Father and in His Son, Jesus, Who holds all things together by His powerful word! The LORD reigns over Israel and the LORD reigns over the Gulf Oil Spill.

“Such is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face, O GOD of Jacob.” (Psalm 24:6)

Our God is the God of Jacob. Jacobis Israel. Our God is the God of Israel. The LORD is showing His Bride more clearly the connection between The Body of Christ and Israel. Romans 11 teaches us that our relationship is so intimate that is like the grafting of branches into a tree. The LORD is writing upon our hearts that whatever is happening to Israel is happening to us. It is more than a prophetic picture of what is happening to us – it is actually happening to us because we are grafted in.

“I love the LORD for He heard my voice; He heard my cry for mercy. Because He turned His ear to me, I will call on Him as long as I live.” (Psalm 116:1-2)

Israel and the USA are both in “dire straits”. Israel is facing an escalation of international warfare on many fronts – threats (that have teeth) of annihilation from Iran and it’s proxies Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon, international media propaganda based on lies, pressure from the USA to make more and more concessions toward a false peace, the continuing saga of Gilad Shalit, an IDF soldier captured almost four years ago, rocket attacks from Gaza, and more.

*There are signs of the outbreak of conventional war in the Middle East this summer.

The USA is facing deadly assaults in many forms. There is educational and media warfare for the hearts and minds of our children and youth, the so-called Healthcare bill, problems in Afghanistan, economic woes, the encroachment of Islam in many aspects of American life, including government, and more.

*The Gulf Oil Spill is already a disaster of major proportions and is more threatening day by day.

“For God has bound all men over to disobedience so that He may have mercy on them all.” (Romans 11:32)

The woes of both Israel and the USA have a common source. The source is disobedience, which is another word for sin.

The remedy for both Israel and the USA is the same. It is the mercy of God.

“The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried out, and their cry for help because of their slavery went up to God. God heard their groaning and He remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them.” (Exodus 2:23b-25)

“Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; He rises to show you compassion. For The LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him!” (Isaiah 30:18)

*Israel cannot survive without supernatural deliverance from God.

* The USA cannot fix the gaping wound that is deep under the surface of the Gulf of Mexico, and threatens the lives of many.

BOTH OF THESE SITUATIONS REQUIRE A SOVEREIGN MOVE OF GOD.

BOTH OF THESE SITUATIONS REQUIRE INTERCESSORS WHO STAND IN THE GAP, LAY HOLD OF GOD AND DO NOT LET GO UNTIL THE MIRACLE DELIVERANCE APPEARS.

PRAY FOR ISRAEL

“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this.” (Esther 4:14)

There are many scriptures that declare the restoration of the people of Israel to the land. It is certain that God will preserve and prosper Israel. But the LORD always fulfills His promises through someone(s) who agrees with His plans and calls them into the earth realm through intercession. If the Body of Christ does not rise up in this hour, deliverance will come from another place, but where will that leave us? We cannot be passive about this. The LORD spoke that when the fiery Torch came into Missouri that it would burn away apathy, lethargy and complacency. Hallelujah! We are free to arise and take our place of intercession on behalf of Israel.

*Psalm 149:9 Let us wage war on behalf of Israel by declaring the judgments written

*“I will rejoice in doing them good and will assuredly plant them in this land with all my heart and soul.” (Jeremiah 32:41)

Declare this verse, which is part of the great restoration promises that the LORD gives to Jeremiah after instructing him to purchase the field. It is so expressive of the heart of our Father regarding His work of bringing the people of Israel back to their land.

Pray and declare:

*Psalm 83:1-4

*Psalm 68

*Psalm 124

*Psalm 125

*Zechariah 12-13:2

*Ezekiel 36

PRAY FOR USA

*Isaiah 1-3. The current condition of our nation is described rather well in these chapters and we can use them as our foundation for prayer in these days

*Isaiah 2:1-5. Please note the great promises to those who believe that are contained in this passage. Herein is our hope; herein our faith rests; herein our JOY is maintained in the midst of perilous times.

*Isaiah 3:10 is our strength. "Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds." This is a sure word from The LORD to His Beloved believers. We will surely endure various and many trials, but in them all WE OVERCOME and serve as SALT AND LIGHT in the earth. Many will see and fear and put their trust in The LORD because of the witness of the righteous.

*Isaiah 4 is our promised end - the canopy of His Presence over all. Hallelujah!

1) Father, use this crisis to break down the pride of the Church, our government leaders, business leaders - especially BP Petroleum, spreading to every man, woman and child in the USA. Father, help us realize quickly that there is no human solution to this problem - we simply must have YOUR DIVINE INTERVENTION.

2) Father, we confess our national sins before Your Throne of Grace. As a nation, through our national policies, we have continued adding to our cup of iniquity and it is almost full. Even at this moment, Father, innocent blood is shed through legalized abortion. Even at this moment, Father, our government is turning its back on you and is promoting the Gay Agenda. Even at this moment, Father, our national policy regarding Israel is touching the apple of Your eye and putting us at great peril. Father, for the sake of Your own Name, for the sake of the righteous (those who trust in YOU for our righteousness; those who agree with YOUR WORD), for the sake of millions of innocent children who have not sinned in these areas, for the sake of the First Nations peoples who are turning to You, SHOW FORTH YOUR MERCY, FATHER. Do not give us what we deserve. Father, let Your discipline and even Your judgments bring forth Your FULL REDEMPTIVE purposes upon the USA. Father, DELIVER US FROM THE EVIL OF THIS GULF OIL CRISIS.

3) Father, GRANT US A MAJOR GIFT OF REPENTANCE. We cannot work up true repentance - Your word says that it is a gift from You. We are in desperate need of this gift.

4) Father, GRANT US A SPIRIT OF GRACE AND SUPPLICATION so that we might humble ourselves and pray, and turn from our wicked ways so that You will come and HEAL OUR LAND (and seas).

5) Father, GRANT US A SPIRIT OF CONVICTION. Father, the conscience of the nation is close to being seared through the hardness of the years of bloodshed and our rebellious ways. Our love has grown cold. Father, You have said that EVEN NOW, EVEN NOW, if we will turn to You - You will respond. Father, HELP THIS NATION TO BE CONVICTED OF SIN again so that WE MAY TRULY KNOW YOUR MERCY.

2. Missouri Gatekeeper State Summer Water Focus

(This focus appeared in the June 14 – July 5 Guide. The Holy Spirit is calling for Luke 18 diligence in this matter so we are repeating it here.)

“The earth is The LORD’s and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for He founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.” (Psalm 24:1-2)

“Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb” (Revelation 22:1)

Missouri is blessed with two great rivers, The Mississippi which forms the eastern border of the state, and the Missouri River which flows from west to east through the state. Missouri has more springs and free-flowing streams than any other state.

The two great rivers and the multitude of springs and streams represent LIFE in various ways – both natural and spiritual. We sense The LORD calling the Gatekeepers to watch over all of our waterways this summer. Summer, of course, is a time of much recreational water activity. However, almost every year we hear of at least one tragedy taking place in our waterways. The LORD has been warning that the enemy is again looking for opportunities in this area.

In the late spring of 2007, Regina Shank led a team on a prayer journey that began at the source of the Missouri River and continued to where it meets the Mississippi River. At the same time, James Nesbit was leading a team from the source of the Mississippi to the Gulf. Other teams journeyed down every river that runs into the Mississippi. The assignment was a “River Flush” – a cleansing of the waters through worship and intercession at strategic locations along the rivers.

Right after the Missouri River Team had completed the Missouri River portion of the journey, there was a desperate young man in the St. Charles, MO area who decided to end his life by driving into the Missouri River. However, he got stuck in mud near the river and was unable to complete his “mission”. The LORD showed one of the intercessors who had been praying for the Team that because of the power of the prayer journey, a SHIELD went up between this young man and the river. The intercessor heard The LORD say, “There will be no loss of life in this river – LIFE has been released into it.” In addition to not losing his life in the river, this incident shook the young man to turn to The LORD after 17 years of drug and alcohol addiction. He is now completely delivered from the addictions and is enjoying life with his wife an d young daughter.

Hallelujah! It is time to reinforce the work done in 2007 and building on that foundation, to take a pro-active stand for LIFE over every form of water in our state – even swimming pools.

“For this is what the LORD says: “I will extend peace to her like a river,” (Isaiah 66:12a)

Father, we come to You through the Blood of Jesus. We give You Glory as the Creator and Redeemer of all life. We thank You for the gift of the natural rivers, lakes, springs and streams that give such beauty, transportation, commerce, recreation and much more to our state. We thank You that these natural waters represent Your plan for the spiritual atmosphere of our state as well. We are equipped and called to be a well-watered, life-giving place where the Living Waters flow. Father, we thank You that during the summer months these natural waterways provide opportunity for recreation, a place to meet You for fun and restoration.

Father, we also thank You for man-made swimming pools that provide refreshment in the hot summer.

Father, we thank You for the River Flush Prayer Journey of 2007 and all that was accomplished in The Spirit through it. We thank You for those who gave time, finances, comfort and so much of themselves to make the journey. We ask You to remember all of the Blood-bought worship and intercession that came before Your throne. Now, Father, we tie our freshly offered worship and intercession into the journey that has gone before us. Once again, we bring our rivers, and now also our streams, springs, lakes and even our swimming pools before You.

Father, we confess to You that many sinful acts have been and continue to be committed on our waterways. Father, You are rich in Mercy. You reached out to us in Mercy while we were yet sinners and yet Your enemies. We pray now for all those who will be on our rivers, in or near our lakes and streams and springs and swimming pools this summer. Father, we ask Mercy for those who participate in sinful acts that would be an open door for the enemy to wreck havoc. Father we release the voice and the power of The Blood of Jesus to cover all persons at all times on the water. Father, perform miracles on the waters this summer. Let it be a time for even those who are hostile to You to encounter You in an unmistakable way.

THROUGH THE BLOOD AND IN THE NAME OF JESUS, LET THERE BE LIFE IN THE WATERS OF MISSOURI THIS SUMMER. AMEN.

“But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!” (Amos 5:24)

“There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God” (Psalm 46:4a)

“He reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters.” (Psalm 18:16)

3. Upcoming Portals of Glory Focus

“I will not enter my house or go to my bed – I will allow no sleep to my eyes, no slumber to my eyelids, till I find a place for The LORD, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.” (Psalm 132:4-5)

David’s heart and vision was to establish a permanent portal of Glory – a Resting Place for The Most High. Our heart and vision is the same.

*Let us pray Psalm 132 over the following gatherings that will take place in Missouri soon. May each gathering itself be a portal and may each gathering be part of the preparation of the entire state of Missouri to be His Resting Place.

4. Capital Prayer

August 3 is Election Day. Hallelujah! Let us siege the elections with the Word of God in these days prior to August 3.

*"Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people." (Proverbs 14:34)

Father, through the Blood of Jesus, we remind You of our Foundational Decision #5, made in Columbia, MO in 2002. We continue to choose the Kingdom of God for our state, which is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. We cut our state off from the manipulation, domination, and control of man. Father, we thank You for this opportunity to vote for righteousness. We pray that in every case where we have a choice for righteousness, the vote will be overwhelmingly for it. Amen.

*”For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king. It is He who will save us.” (Isaiah 33:22)

Father, we confess to you that “other lords have ruled over us, but Your name alone do we honor.” (Isaiah 26:13) In this election, we choose those who will judge righteously, who will be righteous lawmakers and who will govern justly. Thank You, Father. Amen.

*”I will restore your judges as in the days of old, your counselors at the beginning. Afterward you will be called the City of Righteousness, the Faithful City.” (Isaiah 1:26)

Father, we acknowledge that this promise is first and foremost in regard to the City of the Great King, Jerusalem. We thank You that we have been grafted in to the covenants and promises that You have given to Israel. We thank You that as we continue to align ourselves rightly with Jerusalem, we may claim this promise for our state. Amen.

*1Timothy 2:1-4. Continue to pray for our government leaders according to our mandate in this scripture.

*Psalm 93 is the foundational scripture for the Capital Prayer Team that prays each week at the Capital Building in Jefferson City. We can join them in Spirit every Monday from 11am – 1pm.

*Hallelujah! Let us give praise to our God for His faithful answers to our prayers! We share the following recent report from Erma Stogsdill, our Capitol Prayer leader:

We continue to meet and pray on Monday's 11-1 P.M. at the Capitol, in Hearing Room #1. The Lord is so awesome!!! He continues to show Himself Mighty in answering our prayers for this State!!!We recently had a word that the Lord would uncover a hidden source of wealth in the State. St. Louis paper reported that 15,000,000 dollars had been uncovered by State Auditor. We also had a word from the Lord that He would do some things in the State that people would say, "Can they do that; What about separation of Church and State?" The Lord does not separate the two! In last week’s paper from Fulton Missouri, there is an article concerning a Christian school that had tried for some time to rent an unused building in the State School for the deaf located there. Last week they opened the State School to be rented to the Non-Denominational Christian School. Pra ise God and there is much more to come!!!

Capitol Prayer

Missouri Health Care Freedom Amendment, Proposition C

“One Who breaks open the way will go up before them; they will break through the gate and go out. Their king will pass through before them, the LORD at their head.” (Micah 2:13)

The LORD has given Missouri the honor of being the first state to give people the opportunity to choose FREEDOM from the Federal Healthcare Reforms.

The Missouri Health Care Freedom Amendment, Proposition C will appear on the August 3, 2010 statewide ballot in Missouri as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment. The proposed measure aims to block the federal government from requiring people to buy health insurance and bans punishment for those without health insurance. On May 4, 2010 the Missouri Senate voted 26-8 in favor of referring the proposed measure to the ballot. On May 11 the House gave final approval to refer the measure to the ballot following a 108-47 vote.

We believe The LORD is saying that we should trust Him with this battle. He will go ahead of us. As we praise Him (2Chronicles 20:20-22), He will triumph. The victory in Missouri will open the gate for the rest of the states!

*Let us declare the scripture from Micah.

*Let us offer HIGH PRAISES – especially the chosen refrain of the Worshipers in 2Chronicles: “Give thanks to the LORD, for His love endures forever.”

to the GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER.”
