Welcome to our tri-weekly Intercessors' Prayer Guide for the State of Missouri. The strategy is to mobilize unified and focused prayer across the state that is aimed at just a few very specific targets. The targets are corporate in nature. They cover statewide, regional, city and national issues that require the power of corporate agreement. We will focus on these targets for three-week periods. We believe there will be tremendous breakthrough as we siege these targets together for 21 day periods.

Intercessors' Prayer Guide

May 3 - May 24, 2010

Shalom Missouri Prayer Intercessors,

This, then, is how you should pray:

"Our Father in heaven,

hallowed be Your Name,

Your kingdom come,

Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven."

(Matthew 6:9-10)

HALLELUJAH! Our Lord has given us instruction in the kind of prayer that pleases our Father and is effective. It is much more than a lifeless formula; these words express the very heart and purpose of prayer. We each have a personal Prayer Leader! Hallelujah! He is The Holy Spirit, Who teaches us to pray according to the will of The Father (Romans 8:27). He is the very Spirit of Jesus Who indwells us and releases to and through us the heart of Jesus in prayer. Prayer is the power source of the Ecclesia (Church). May we each be encouraged to pray and may we come together in unity of purpose for the will of God for our state and nation.

Before we go on to the focuses for this 21 day period, let us further consider Matthew 6:9:

"This, then is how you should pray:

"Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name."

Hallelujah! The LORD is always working in us to conform us to the image of His Beloved Son. This scripture tests our inmost motive for prayer. Do we have the same motive that Jesus had when He prayed? His motive was/is to see the Name of LORD made Holy in the sight of everyone. May we submit to the fire of The Spirit to purify our motives. Pure intercession is birthed from a desire to see God's Name be glorified in the sight of all. Our personal Prayer Leader (Holy Spirit) will give us this fervent and pure desire. He will reveal any self-centered, fear-based or other ungodly motives that may be influencing our prayers. He will help us to quickly repent. Hallelujah! What a joy to live in such a state! This is truly Kingdom Living - Righteousness, Peace and Joy in The Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17).

Our Father, Who is in heaven, we thank You today that You sent Your Beloved Son to the earth in order to wash away our sins, redeem us from bondage to the evil one, give us new birth, bring us into Your Glorious Kingdom, give us the keys of Your Kingdom, conform us to the image of Your Son, fulfill Your Word to and through us, and so much more! We ask You to purify our inmost motives so that our foremost desire is to see YOU GLORIFIED. Let this be the impetus for our intercession! Amen.

Our Gatekeeper State Focus for this issue is two-fold. First is a PRAISE REPORT concerning the 40 Days of Repentance and Prayer for the State Legislature. Along with the PRAISE is an encouragement to continue in intercession for our State Government.

The second issue that Our Gatekeeper State Focus will address is The Wilderness Outcry. Although there have been some significant changes regarding Wilderness Outcry that could be construed as negative, we truly believe that "Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." (1Cor13:7-8a). The LORD's Name will be glorified. This was and still is the heart intention of Wilderness Outcry.

There is a theme of the release of signs, wonders, miracles and healings that is woven into our Portals of Glory and Capitol Prayer sections. The release of the power of God is a manifestation of His Kingdom - it is part of the answer to our prayer, "Thy Kingdom Come!"

Psalm 24

"Lift up your heads, O you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors that the King of Glory may come in." (Psalm 24:1-6)

 

Focus 1 - The 40 Days of Prayer and Repentance for the State Budget

 

"Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the LORD your God, for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and He relents from sending calamity. Who knows? He may turn and have pity and leave behind a blessing - grain offerings and drink offerings for the LORD your God." (Joel 2:13-14)

 

Hallelujah! The LORD has inclined His ear and turned to us regarding our 40 days of focused intercession for the Budget Process in Missouri. He has left great blessings! Let us give PRAISE and GREAT GLORY to our God for:

 

* The Budget was completed 8 days early!

*The Budget Chairman is thanking and giving credit to GOD!

*The Budget Chairman will give testimony and thanksgiving at the National Day of Prayer Service at the Capital in Jefferson City!

 

The following blessings have come upon The Body of Christ:

 

*The mass mobilization of prayer throughout the state

*The response to the call � WE ARE WAKING UP!

*The LORD is using Missouri to set precedent in our nation

 

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! It is fitting to praise and rejoice. The joy of The LORD is our strength. However, it is also fitting to maintain our new position of intercession and continue to stand and pray for our State Legislature even though the "Budget Crisis" has been addressed. There is much more work to be done through prayer. We have walked through the door that was opened for us - let us remain at our post.

 

"Then Jesus told His disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up." (Luke 18:1)

 

Let us continue to cry out for our legislators in all that concerns them:

* "Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven."

 

We encourage you to use the MO Prayer Intercessors' Guide for the period of April 12 - May 3, which details the four requests of our state legislators. Continue to pray for them to function in all of their responsibilities according to these requests.

 

Focus 2 - The Wilderness Outcry

 

"He guides me in paths of righteousness for His Name's sake." (Psalm 23:3)

 

Hallelujah! Scripture teaches us that it is right to praise The LORD in every circumstance. And so we begin with praise.

 

Many of you probably have heard that The Wilderness Outcry scheduled for June 14-18 in Poplar Bluff has been canceled. Please read the official letter that appears on the website www.wildernessoutcry.com. Please note the maturity and righteousness of this painful decision.

 

Let us pray:

 

Father, we bless You today and we thank You for guiding these leaders down the righteous path. We want You to receive Glory in all that we are and all that we do. Thank You for giving us leaders who are more interested in Your name being glorified than in their own reputation. Hallelujah! We bless Dutch Sheets and all the leaders involved. We ask You to strengthen them and gird them to continue strongly in Your service. Help all of us to follow hard after You - help us to discern more clearly and to wait upon You each step.

 

As The Ecclesia of the Gatekeeper State, we take our stand and close the gates to all of the evil thoughts, attitudes and words that the enemy wants to flood into the state through this situation. We will not permit criticism or discouragement to have any foothold. We open the gates to Love, Discipline, Sound Minds, Humility, Training in Righteousness, Hope, and every good thing that You have for us. Your Kingdom Come; Your Will Be Done in Earth as in Heaven! Thank You, Father. Amen.

 

Let us not be discouraged or disheartened. We still believe that The LORD has a call and a plan regarding Wilderness Outcry. Let us diligently seek Him to reveal His plan and His timing. He has so graciously answered us regarding the Budget. Surely He will answer us in this matter as well. Remember Joel 2:13-14.

2. FOUNDATIONAL DECISION FOCUS:

Foundational Decision Number Five for Missouri was made in Columbia, MO in 2002. We will focus on reinforcing this Decision for the next 21 days. It is especially appropriate to apply it to our State Government since we are still focusing intercession in that area. Decision Number Five states:

 

We choose the Kingdom of God, which is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit and not the kingdom of man, manipulation, domination, and control. This decision is based on Romans 14:17.

 

"For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit." (Romans 14:17)

 

Our Father in heaven, again we thank You and praise You. We thank You for this Foundational Decision being laid in the Spirit realm by the apostolic leadership of our state. We are here today to voice our agreement with this decision. We recommit ourselves personally and corporately to this decision and ask for the Grace to apply it in every aspect of our lives. Please show us any areas that we are operating in or coming under the kingdom of man, manipulation, domination and control. By Your Grace, we repent of our involvement in these enemy tactics and we come fully into Your Kingdom of righteousness, peace and joy in The Holy Spirit. Hallelujah! Amen.

3. PORTALS OF GLORY FOCUS

"For the earth (Missouri) will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea." (Habakkuk 2:14) Declare this scripture over our state!

 

*Hallelujah! Thank you for your prayers for the Missouri Prayer Women's Conference which was held in Columbia on April 22-24. The LORD blessed us with His Presence, Glory and Power for the entire conference. The hearts of the women who attended will never be the same!

 

*NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER � Thursday, May 6.

The theme of this year's event is "For Such a Time as This". See the website www.ndptf.org for times and locations of NDP events in your city. We encourage you to participate.

 

Events in Jefferson City include:

*Mayor & Presiding Commissioner's NDP Breakfast - 7am

*Flag Pole Rallies - all Middle and High Schools in Jefferson City

*Capitol Event - 10am - 1:30pm; 10am worship on the lawn; 12pm prayer in Rotunda

*Youth Rally - 6pm - 8pm

 

*GLOBAL DAY OF PRAYER � Sunday, May 23

See the website www.gdopusa.com for times and locations of GDOP events in your city or region. We encourage you to participate.

 

Hallelujah! Pray that each NDP and each GDOP event throughout our state will create a portal of glory. Pray that the churches in each city will maintain that portal of glory throughout the year. We are contending for an entire state to be a dwelling place for His Glorious Presence. We are contending for full awakening that leads to reformation. The ultimate goal is that His canopy of Glory becomes our permanent cover. (Isaiah 4)

 

*Apostolic Dominion for Signs and Wonders Tour

Apostle Robert Henderson has been releasing the Word and the Healing, Signs and Wonders anointing in Missouri since May 1. The tour began in Springfield and will end on May 6 in Jefferson City. Robert will speak at the NDP Event at the Capitol. Regina Shank made the following declaration during the Signs and Wonders Tour meeting of May 3 in St. Peters:

 

"As gatekeepers in the Gatekeeper State, we open the gates to signs, wonders, miracles and healings. We welcome these manifestations of The Kingdom and the door will not be closed on our watch."

 

*Please agree with and continue to release this decree. Release the fullness of what Robert has brought throughout the state and nation. Once again we can focus this arrow on the target of Jefferson City as described in the Capitol Prayer section below!

4. CAPITOL PRAYER

*"Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people." (Proverbs 14:34)

 

Continue to target the leaders of our state with this scripture. Intercede for righteousness of heart that leads to righteous laws and policies. We have already seen breakthrough with the Budget Prayer. Hallelujah! Let us press on for more.

 

*"The LORD reigns, He is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed in majesty and is armed with strength.....Your throne was established long ago; You are from all eternity. Your statues stand firm; holiness adorns Your house for endless days, O LORD." (Psalm 93: 1a,2,5)

 

Psalm 93 is the foundational scripture for the Capital Prayer Team that prays each week at the Capital Building in Jefferson City. We can join them in Spirit every Monday from 11am - 1pm.

 

*"Stretch out Your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the Name of Your holy servant Jesus." (Acts 4:30)

 

*"Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard." (Isaiah 58:8)

 

*"But for you the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings." (Malachi 4:2)

 

*".....And the power of the LORD was present for Him to heal the sick." (Luke 5:17b)

 

Hallelujah! Please pray and declare the above scriptures to release the healing power of The LORD at the State Capital. We believe it is the will of The LORD to demonstrate His power through signs, wonders and healings in the offices and halls of our State Government! We believe this is one of the keys that will open the heavens in Jefferson City. Hallelujah!
