Dear laborers in Missouri
Many of you will have received the letter from Dutch Sheets outlining the exciting possibility of purchasing a building to serve as a permanent base for the Missouri Prayer Center. As an apostolic council that gives spiritual council and accountability to this ministry, we are honored to echo our support of this project.
From the moment Regina Shank took over the leadership of this state-wide ministry, it has grown and had a significant impact on the region. She has done an excellent job connecting intercession and intercessors around the state and has been instrumental in working to deal with some of the historical issues our state faces. However, the ministry in Carthage has grown beyond the reach of the rented facility and the Lord has spoken that it is time for a building.
The building that is available has significant floor space which would house the prayer center, as well, as the food pantry and areas for office and leadership training. When Dutch was in Springfield recently, he released a word that called on churches around the state to take up the challenge of raising the money for this strategic facility. His challenge was for each church to believe for $1000 and to believe for enough churches that this building could be paid off in full at purchase. We are also asking those who are connected with this important ministry to give into the purchase of this state wide prayer center and training center.
The total cost for this 6,000 ft2 building is $110,000 which is 60% of its appraised value. The challenge is that the purchase needs to be completed by the 9th of November; so time is of the essence. As a state-wide ministry Missouri Prayer Mission has no base of support other than the churches and intercessors, because we all benefit from the strategic intercessory work that is carried out, we would ask that you prayerfully consider helping meet this need. You may give online below or mail your portion to Missouri Prayer Mission, P.O. Box 732, Carthage, MO 64836.

Good morning:
This is a big “thank you” to all who have given into the building fund. We did not receive enough to purchase the building, but we did receive enough to lease it with another option to purchase in January, 2011. The Lord gave me a scripture from Joshua 1:11, three days before we signed the temporary lease.
Joshua 1:11 ““Go through the camp and tell the people, ‘Get your provisions ready. Three days from now you will cross the Jordan here to go in and take possession of the land the LORD your God is giving you for your own.’”
I knew that we had a word from the Lord that the building was ours. We are partially moved in and are operating the food ministry to the poor and homeless, praying for them and seeing results in their lives. We are praying in the prayer room and have felt the Presence of the Lord in such a strong way. I was talking to the Lord about the concrete floor and the plywood on the walls of the prayer room, sort of apologizing for the surroundings, because we haven’t remodeled it yet.
I heard Him speak to me: “ I love caves and stables. I am looking for a humble and contrite heart and wherever I find it, I will be there.”
It touched my heart and then I was given Isaiah 66:1-2 “This is what the LORD says: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be? Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?” declares the LORD. “These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word.”
So, it is not about the surroundings in the natural, it is about the heart of those who are seeking His face and His wisdom. Yet, I knew the Lord was giving us a place to use for ministry, prayer, and teaching, an apostolic center, where equipping takes place and leaders are sent out.
We are still in the process of moving in and getting settled. We are doing a “walkathon” in January to help with the purchase of the building. If you want to participate, let us know. Thanks again for your generous gifts toward this building. I know it is ours because of Joshua 1:11.
My encouragement to you is that you lift up your substance of faith toward the Lord and ask Him to make His Word a reality in your life. Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. “ Faith is the substance; lift it up toward God and see His ability. HE IS ABLE!
We are continuing to put funds into the building fund toward the purchase in January of 2011.
Blessings,
Regina Shank, Apostolic Leader
